Brow Henna

Elleebana Brow Henna deposits colour on both the hair and the skin. Instead of an oxidative chemical process like tint, brow henna stains the outer layer of brow hairs, coating them in colour. At the same time, it also stains the skin. While the skin staining fades more quickly - usually within 1-1.5 weeks (think of this as a spray tan for your brows) - you can expect your brow hairs to remain coated and darker for much longer, up to 8 weeks. Naturally, darker brows last longer than lighter ones.

Brow henna contains 98% natural ingredients, contains no ammonia, lead, or peroxide and is vegan and cruelty free.

The best way to care for your brows after a service are to keep them as dry as possible for the remainder of the day. Henna will last the longest without the use of oils and exfoliants (physical or chemical) directly on the skin and brow hairs. Clients with oily skin find henna to fade more quickly from their skin than those with normal to dry skin.

Brow henna is best suited for clients with full natural brows who like a darker brow look, but colors can be formulated in a wide range of shades. Henna also goes well with a brow shape, if I do say so myself 😎

FAQs

  • Sugar paste is made of three natural ingredients: sugar, water and lemon. It is completely safe for the skin in comparison to wax which can contain harsh resins/chemicals.

Sugar is applied at just above room temperature and naturally only adheres to hair and dead skin. This means no burning the skin and no lifting of live skin cells (ouch!). The strip sugar paste I use for all my services is very effective at removing hair from the root completely (even the fine fuzzy ones) without breakage, minimizing of broken and ingrown hairs. This is always what makes brow services with sugar often β€œlast longer” than waxing or threading services, where brow hairs are more easily broken at the surface instead of removed from the root.

I use a strip sugar for brows (paste + strip) that protects the skin but still allows me to create the c r i s p brow my clients are looking for! Unless of course you want a natural looking brow and I can make that happen too πŸ’πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

  • This all depends on how quickly your brows grow and how particular you are! I would like a minimum of 2 weeks of regrowth to work with, but anywhere between 3-6 is great!

Often times, it can take a few services to find the right shape to help disguise or grow in certain parts of the brow. This is very common! As long as you resist your tweezers at home, I will guide you on your brow journey. It’s one of my favourite things to do 😎

  • Most of my regular clients book their brow services every 4-6 weeks, depending on how fast their brow hairs grow (and how particular they are).

Some clients find that the more regularly they get their brows done, the more slowly they grow back in, and they can spread their services farther apart. That is kindaaaa the whole point! πŸ™ƒ
